Established in 1993, Peregrine Medieval Vocal Ensemble is
dedicated
to offering vocal sound, often accompanied by harp, as a way to open up
a
space for prayer and meditation. Peregrine is a resident ensemble at St. Mark's
Cathedral
in Seattle. In addition to providing music for liturgies and
contemplative events at St. Mark's (including the New Year's Eve
labyrinth walks), Peregrine's sings liturgical music at Seattle's St. James Cathedral
as well as participating in interfaith events and contemplative
concerts in a variety of venues.

Peregrine latest CD, Night Chants,
was recorded in the beautiful acoustic space oft Bastyr
University Chapel in Kirkland. The CD features
harpist Cheryl
Ann Fulton
and music from the Matins service for All Saints. Translations of all
the texts on the Night Chants CD
are available here.
Peregrine's first CD, titled Gregorian Chant,
was recorded
in the sonorous acoustics of St. Mark's Cathedral. The chants in Latin
and English focus on wisdom, compassion, love, and the hope for
peace. Listen to samples from the first CD: Jerusalem
cito veniet and O
Sapientia.
